Women’s Track Captain Speaks…

Evening campers,

Hope everyone is having a cracking night so far. For those of you new to the whole set-up, welcome to the club and the second ‘official’ social of the year. With a bit of luck the nice staff at the Quality haven’t left us standing out in the cold for a couple of hours like the monkeys responsible for the Junction did at the Fresher’s Punch Party, oh well at least it was free, and you know what they say: you pay peanuts…!

For my sins (or yours) I’m the women’s track and field captain this year and hopefully now the track is back in use (in it’s full naked glory) you’ll be seeing a bit more of me on training nights so feel free to accost me if you have any concerns you think I may be able to help you with.

The first indoor meet will be at Birmingham against the RAF, amongst others, and will be at the end of January, details will be going up on the board shortly. As well as that, and of paramount importance is the BUSA indoors on the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd February. For this we need all the talent we can muster from the plentiful pool we have here at LSAC. So if you could all be kind enough to avoid injuries, illness and other engagements, it’d be much appreciated, not to mention a fun-filled bargain of a weekend for yourselves in the cultural centre of Scotland: Glasgow.

I guess this is where I should be going on to reveal all the gossip and scandal I’ve picked up on so far this year. However, I seem to have been oblivious to all the interesting stuff this term. That said, the Autumn term is traditionally somewhat of a jogger domain in terms of competition and the subsequent socials, so I’m banking on Sarah and the others coming up with all the dirt on that front. Don’t worry though, I’ll do my best to make up for it in the next patch (That’s what we like to hear! – Ed).

Right, I won’t keep you all from the fun and festivities any longer, have a great night and a happy and healthy holiday over Christmas.
